The Ash of War bestows Cold affinity upon an armament and introduces the skill "Chilling Mist."

This skill involves coating the armament in frost, followed by a slash that spreads frigid mist forwards. The armament retains its frost for a while.

Usable on melee armaments, with whips, fists, and claws excepted.

To obtain these Ashes of War, explore the ruins of the Three Sisters Tower on the west side of the royal moon viewing site in Lake Lienia.

Acquire the Battle Ashes by defeating the dung beetles in the ruins.
