"Crafting Your Character
In Elden Ring, the character creation process offers players a comprehensive scope for shaping and personalizing their character. During creation, you wield control over a diverse array of aspects, spanning from its voice and facial structure to defining characteristics such as its Class, which significantly influences gameplay style.
Elden Ring introduces a Rebirth mechanism enabling character respec. This function becomes accessible upon vanquishing Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. Post-victory, you gain the ability to exchange Larval Tears for a Respec. Refer to the Rebirth Page for a detailed guide on how to reshape your character.
Within Elden Ring, you hold the freedom to select your character's Name, Gender, Age, Class, Keepsake, and refine its physical appearance. Moreover, you're presented with a choice among 10 character presets termed 'Base Templates'. Detailed insights into these attributes and their functionality are available on this page.
Determining the Optimal Class in Elden Ring
Irrespective of the character type you opt for, each Class permits you to traverse The Lands Between. Your choice of class should align with your preferred playstyle, given the vast divergence in combat styles from the game's outset, a divergence that amplifies as the game progresses. However, certain classes offer a smoother initiation. Vagabond stands as a recommended choice for beginners due to its straightforward starting gear and advantageous stats for a melee-centric approach. Similarly, Samurai presents a favorable option with its commencement offering a Longbow with a substantial number of arrows, alongside an Uchigatana, a formidable bleed weapon. For those inclined towards magic casting, Astrologer emerges as a potent choice, given its emphasis on sorcery-type magic and beginner-friendly attributes."
"Is Character Respeccing Possible in Elden Ring?
Absolutely, you'll have the opportunity to reallocate your character's stat points once the option becomes available. Apart from acquiring the skill to do so, you'll need to exchange a rare item to reset these points. This capability to respec your character will unlock during your gameplay. For detailed guidance on how to reshape your character, refer to the Rebirth Page.
Defining Character Attributes on the Creation Screen
The primary attributes to set on the main Character Creation screen begin with the Name, followed by the selection of the "Body Type" determining your character's gender. This involves choosing between two options: "Type A" (Male) and "Type B" (Female).
Subsequently, you can designate your character's perceived Age: Young, Mature, or Aged. The game clarifies that this choice "solely influences appearance" and "holds no impact on abilities".
Within the main Character Creation window, you'll have the opportunity to preview both your character's initial Stats and its visual appearance. You can manipulate the view by zooming in, zooming out, and rotating the character's model for a more detailed examination."
ELDEN RING CHARACTER APPEARANCE
"Beyond the Body Type and Age selections, two additional sections contribute to shaping the character's appearance: "Choose Base Template" and "Detailed Appearance". The former presents 10 diverse appearance presets. Each preset is accompanied by a brief description, highlighting the represented character type. It's important to note that these descriptions don't serve as backgrounds for the character but rather as a characterization guide.
The latter section, "Detailed Appearance," leads to a sub-menu offering an extensive range of controls. These controls allow players to finely adjust various aspects of their character's appearance. Furthermore, this section provides options to save and recall customized presets for convenience and ease of use."
